I have set myself a personal fundraising target of £2,500 £4,000 in aid of the charity Sense.  I hope to achieve these vital funds by holding a variety of fundraising events within my community and workplace, as well as by gaining sponsorship from family, friends, colleagues and even strangers! This page will advise on my fundraising efforts and how I am progressing.

PRESSGANG CHRISTMAS PARTY - Charity Raffle on Friday 28th November 2008:

Brett Lawrence (Pressgang Chairman) and Colin Colverd (Pressgang Secretary) have kindly offered to support my double marathon challenge this year, with all proceeds raised from the annual Pressgang Christmas charity raffle to be donated towards my sponsorship.

With almost 180 people attending this event, it is the ideal opportunity introduce myself and communicate my challenge with dozens of people within the printing industry.  The prize for this raffle is a weekend away at a Hilton Hotel, with one night being purchased from the raffle proceeds and a second night donated by Hilton.

CHRISTMAS CHARITY RAFFLES - December 2008

With the festive season approaching rather rapidly, it is an ideal time to hold Christmas raffles. To support these raffles, I am seeking help from my management and local businesses by asking for donations that may be used as part of a raffle prize.

To date, I have kindly had donated a bottle of wine from Sun Chemical’s Marketing Director (Emma Isichei) and £50 worth of gift vouchers from Marks & Spencer (Bromley, KENT).  From the following raffles below, I hope to raise over £250:

FUNDRAISING COLLECTION TINS

I have aquired a number of Sense fundraising collection tins and placed these in strategic locations throughout my workplace. I am also printing specialised marathon business cards to hand out and posters to place on each of our notice boards. With over 200 staff on site, my workplace is ideal for collecting spare change.
